Help Us Empower the Next Generation of Leaders — Become Our Ames Rotary RYLA Chair!
Rotarians are People of Action. As part of a global network of over 1.2 million neighbors, friends, and leaders, we take pride in putting our skills and resources to work in our community. This year, the Rotary Club of Ames is looking for a dedicated volunteer to step up as our Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Chair.
What Does the Role Involve?
- Recruit & Interview: Help reach local high school students, review applications, and select our club's awardees.
- Support & Host: Invite our sponsored RYLA participants to a club meeting before they leave for camp and after they return, so they can share their life-changing experiences with us.
Why It Matters
- RYLA introduces young people to Rotary and helps them grow into confident service leaders. We’ve seen firsthand how this week-long experience shapes a student’s future career choices, builds lifelong confidence, and inspires young leaders to become active Rotarians in their own communities.
- Your commitment directly shapes tomorrow's leaders!
