Dr. William Walter “Bill” Iversen, Rotary Club of Ames President 1982-83, passed away peacefully at his home in Aurora, Colorado, on April 29, 2026, after a courageous battle with dementia. He was also a longtime member of the Ft. Collins Rotary Breakfast Club. Celebration of Life in Ft. Collins, CO, on June 11th.

Lights Out Iowa! Saving Iowa's Birds and Pollinators
It’s time to dust off the gloves and head back to the diamond! The Spring 2026 Miracle League season is here, and the Rotary Club of Ames needs your help to make it a home run for our players. Our team plays at 9 am on May 9th, 16th, and 30th. In June, our team plays at 10 am on the 6th, 13th, and 20th. Join us at the Miracle League Field in Inis Grove Park.
Ames is growing greener thanks to a powerful partnership and dedicated People of Action. On April 25, the Rotary Club of Ames and Rotaract at Iowa State University joined forces with the City of Ames and The Ames Foundation to plant 70 trees in the Welbeck and Brickman neighborhoods. Supported by DNR and USDA grants, our volunteers rolled up their sleeves to diversify our urban forest.
