What does being a Paul Harris Fellow mean?
A Paul Harris Fellow is someone recognized for making a significant impact on others. The Foundation awards this recognition to those who contribute $ 1,000, which is used for humanitarian efforts worldwide. A club honors individuals for service to the club or community.
On November 17th, the Rotary Club of Ames honored six individuals for their contributions to The Rotary Foundation.

Louis Banitt, Greg Sindt, and Park Woodle received Paul Harris Fellow plus four pins.

John Dalhoff received a Paul Harris Fellow plus seven pin.

Dean Phillips and Doug Timmons received Paul Harris Fellow plus eight pins.
Paul Harris Fellow levels are based on total contributions of $1000 or more to The Rotary Foundation, with each additional level indicated by extra contributions in $1000 increments. The recognition is represented by a pin, where the pin for Multiple Paul Harris Fellows features a sapphire for every additional $1000 up to five sapphires. After five sapphires, a ruby is added for each further level.
